Please join us in this powerful cause to let the families of our fallen officers know that they are not alone, that their sacrifice will not be forgotten, and that they will not be forgotten. Contributions both large and small continue to support survivors each year, and continue to help rebuild their shattered lives.

The donations we raise support The McDavid Group Charities Scholarship Fund (coming soon) as we are partnering with The Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties and C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors). We support C.O.P.S. with the following programs:
HANDS-ON PROGRAMS - C.O.P.S. Hands-On Programs are the heart of the organization. From offering grief counseling to providing peer support and additional resources, C.O.P.S.’ objective is to support each survivor in their journey to recovery. In the wake of a line-of-duty death, there is an inherent need for a safe place to grieve and to process the feelings and memories surrounding that loved one. With twelve Hands-On Programs, C.O.P.S. provides retreats specifically formatted to allow survivors to do just that.
PEER SUPPORT - Through their National Board, local chapters and national network of survivors, C.O.P.S. is able to contact a newly bereaved family – sometimes within just days of the death. It helps the new survivors to see people who have survived the devastation, thus providing a sense of hope. The C.O.P.S. National Office contacts each surviving family at least 5 times a year. Tri-annual newsletters provide messages of hope, encouragement and share stories of the survivors’ accomplishments since the death of the officer.
BENEFITS ASSISTANCE - C.O.P.S. maintains a state-by-state compilation of death benefits so survivors and agencies will know what benefits are afforded to surviving families when an officer dies in the line of duty. These documents have become invaluable to state law enforcement organizations that are seeking information on the benefits paid to survivors. Benefits include education benefits, state benefits, worker’s compensation, pension, funeral benefits and miscellaneous organizations that assist.
